DEALING WITH ANXIETY
Anxiety is common during and after an emergency event such as a flooding, earthquakes and evacuation.
This is a normal response to a very stressful situation. Talking to people and helping others can be both therapeutic and useful.
If you need support for yourself or for others:
- talk to your family doctor, general practice nurse or contact Healthline on 0800 611 116
- free-call or text 1737 to talk to a trained counsellor 24 hours a day
- call Rural Support Trust on 0800 787 254 to talk to someone who understands the pressures of rural life
- in an emergency, call 111.
